  • Graves ophthalmopathy
Level of Evidence Evidence of probable benefit – more research needed (Category 2a)
Intravenous immunoglobulin (IVIg) may be indicated in select cases. Tagami et al (1996) have shown that IVIg is effective in this condition. Other studies have shown IVIg to be as effective as corticosteroids, with fewer side effects. May be indicated where steroids have failed or are contraindicated.
